Grandma’s 90th Birthday!

We had the great joy of celebrating the 90th birthday of our grandmother this weekend.  She turned 9o.  On the way there I asked her if she was excited about her party, and she asked, “Should I be?  I’ll probably know less when I come home than I do now.”  Well alright then.  I really can’t wait until I’m older and I can say whatever I want and people think it is cute.  I say whatever I’m thinking now, people just don’t think it’s cute.

Uncle Scott was as always the master of ceremonies.  He set up a little fair grounds and gave everyone tickets so they could play the games.  If you won anything you could go to the store and pick anything you wanted.  The store consisted of everything from raisors (?) to batteries to toy cars to make up to cookies .  .  .  There was a little of everything.

Along with the fair grounds we had a pig roast.  That along with the vast amounts of food that everyone else brought was plenty of food for the rather large family that grandma Rehfeldt is responsible for producing.

The reality is that our family is a bit odd and proud of it.  It was a wonderful day with the family.  We missed those of you who couldn’t make it.

  1. I love all of the pictures from your weekend. Mom told me about the kittens, and I was surprised you got away without taking one home 🙂 Thanks for being a “good” brother and respresenting the Sturgill siblings at the gathering. I totally agree with your comment, and it makes me laugh: “The reality is that our family is a bit odd and proud of it.” 🙂

  2. When anyone tells me ..You’re okay..I always reply, “I’ve never been okay and I never plan on being okay.” Yes, I’m one of the odd ones but I’m not real sure if I’m proud of it. 🙂
    Love AJ
